Christmas for the Astrologers

Modern Astrology leads many astray but it isn't so well known that the Gospel is written in the signs of the Zodiac.

In fact the wise men in the Christmas Story were ancient astrologers who followed the star from the East to the birthplace of the Great King. How did they know to go? From the time of Israel's captivity in Babylon (to the East of Israel) there had been a prophecy from Daniel that gave them the exact time. When the star appeared at the exact time, they simply followed it.

Tim Rowe puts forward the case that September 11th is the birth date of Jesus Christ somewhere between 6:18pm and 7:39pm.

And incidentally, how many Wise Men were there? If you said three, you might be wrong, read the story again!

Open Your Eyes

Today's message is a brief one, I m sitting watching my son at his soccer team practice on Saturday morning as they prepare for their trip to Australia in January 2015.

There is an accusation that is sometimes made of us that we are too gullible and believe everything we are told despite there being no evidence of God.

Although our faith needs to be childlike, it should never be naïve. It is not wrong for anyone to question what we believe and we should never be afraid of it. The truth will always come out in time anyway so we can be very relaxed.

I am 100% certain that the words of Jesus will never be proven wrong. Misunderstood and misinterpreted yes, but never wrong. I think the evidence for God is overwhelming if you Open Your Eyes!

Jesus told us "I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wary as serpents and harmless as doves"

I'll leave you today with this thought. In the news yesterday was this article on Dark Matter, the unseen force that holds the universe together and doesn't fit with any known scientific equation.
